Technical State University Board of Trustees Business
Affairs Committee September 26, 2025 alleged : In
November 2024, the North Carolina Agricultural and
Technical State University Board of Trustees  approved
a proposed lease of approximately 3,500 square feet
($84,000 annually) at Gateway South Campus for the
Division of Strategic Partnership and Economic
Development. This figure was a preliminary estimate used
for initial planning. Following detailed space planning,
the required square footage has been finalized at 4,476
square feet in the amount of $107,424 annually. The
space will be occupied by the Office of Strategic
Partnerships and Economic Development at 2901 East Gate
City Boulevard, Greensboro, NC 27401. Business Affairs
Committee September 26, 2025 indicate alleged lease was
included in the meeting material. Business Affairs
Committee approved the lease which was authorized by
the full board via the consent agenda. Video |

2024, it approved a proposed lease of approximately
3,500 square feet ($84,000 annually) at Gateway South
Campus for the Division of Strategic Partnership and
Economic Development.

handouts (except exempted materials, such as
attorney-client communications, etc.) as
soon as they are created. Officials cannot
delay release of meeting materials until
after they are sent to members of the public
body or some other more convenient or
advantageous time. |

Agenda (1) A copy of the
agenda for each regular meeting of the Board
of Trustees, including, insofar as is
practicable, copies of all reports and other
materials to be presented to the regular
meeting as part of the agenda, shall be
mailed or transmitted electronically by the
Secretary or Assistant Secretary to each
member of the Board of Trustees at least
five days in advance of the date of the
regular meeting.

| (2) The agenda for a
regular or special meeting of the Board of
Trustees shall be prepared by the Chancellor
or his staff, in consultation with the
Chair. All requests for inclusion of a given
item on the agenda of a particular meeting
shall be filed, with supporting documents,
if any, with the Chancellor to be included
on the agenda of the special meeting.
Generally, ten days is considered sufficient
time to submit such requests and supporting
documents. |

Pursuant NC public record
laws I request a copy of proposed lease
agreement for space at Gateway South Campus
from 3,500 square feet to 4,476 square feet
which was not included in the Board Meeting
Material.
NC A&T reply: At this time
no executed lease is in effect for the NCAT
SPED matter. If, and when, it is finalized,
it will be a matter of public record and
then subject to disclosure under the NC
Public Record Act. Please feel free to
follow up on this request in approximately
60 days. |
