In the internet age websites and  broadcast and cable television seek to  boost their appeal by way of  fan interactivity, a quality that black college sporting events have employed before the dawn of the internet.


The groove was in high gear at the 2008 Aggie-Eagle Football Classic as the North Carolina Central " Eagles" (1-4) hosted North Carolina A&T "Aggies" (2-4) at Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, NC for the 80 installment of a series that date back to 1924 on Saturday  went to the wire for in the 4th period before final score was settled 28 to 21 in favor of Eagles. The game atmosphere was "electric" as competitors  on the field were encouraged by the sides, cheerleaders, bands and fans seeking victory for the Grand Prize of a year of bragging rights within the family and on the job.
